Friends Till the End

I made this piece in commemoration of two wonderful friends, not only to me but to each other. I met Carlos and Sally at a support group I frequent. Carlos has become a great friend and Sally is the gentlest soul I have ever met. The two have become close and Carlos’ sister has decided to buy this piece for him. And being the art lover he is I am glad he has come to own this work of mine.

The First Cut isn’t always the Deepest

I have heard so many people profess that the first heartbreak is the worst. I beg to differ in my own experience the hurt never gets easier. Just tonight I saw a pic of an old girlfriend I mean years ago and it stirred up so much emotion, How can one picture cause so much pain? Maybe I’m not as emotionally stable as the average person or maybe I’m just more honest about my feeling than most people. I’ve always been uper sensitive and how come the partners that treat you the worst are always remembered so fondly.

The Last Taboo

Dispite alot of nose thumbing and quite alienations I’ve decided to be as public as possible about my struggles with mental illness in hopes to help others in simular situations.  I know that destigmatization of mental health concerns is still in it’s infancy stage. But if certain members of other minorities decided against action there wouldn’t be a black American President Gay marriage or even women working or voting, now mind you I don’t consider myself a pioneer like Rosa Parks. But I do hope to help others feel comfortable with their stationn in life we all have crosses to bear but some of ours are invisible.
